How to make a SOBRIETY NYE resolution STICK!

Brainstorming about your NY resolution? / Wanna quit drinking? Smoking? Workout more? Drop toxic people out of your sphere?
Yet...don’t know how to make a “New year, new you” resolution ACTUALLY stick & are discouraged from past failed resolutions? Don’t fret! Here are a couple suggestions to help those lifestyle changes stay for good.
1. Make it simple, & SPECIFIC. Don’t set goals that are too broad, too big, or too many. Don’t oversaturate! “Less is more” be more effective. Start with one goal, master it & then move on to the next.
2. Be honest with yourself. Make a resolution because it’s meaningful & desirable to you, not because you feel pressured to do so from outside sources or to follow a trend. If your not serious about it in the first place it doesn’t stand a chance.
3. Make SMART goals. S-specific. M-measurable. A-achievable R-relevant T-time-based. To go along with these steps, set up reminders to help you along the process.
4. Arrange your environment for success. This may be putting good influences around you, getting the booze out of house, etc. whatever it may be. The more effort you put it, the better outcome you’ll receive!
5. Make yourself accountable. This is key. Having someone to hold you accountable, that you can be honest with is paramount for your success!
6. CELEBRATE your success, & have grace for yourself when you fall. No one’s perfect, if you slip up once or twice, get back up and keep going. Don’t beat yourself up over it, and celebrate with others your success! It will help keep you motivated and on the right track.
